Gants Hill is an area of Ilford, in East London, within the Borough of Redbridge. The area lends its name to a central roundabout where five major roads meet. The name of the area likely originates from the le Gant family, who were stewards of Barking Abbey in the early 1300’s.
Gants Hill has a great selection of restaurants, takeaways, pubs, and bars, it is also home to Essex’s infamous nightclub Faces. Our letting agents particularly recommend Saffron Street, which offers Indian street food and Indo-Chinese fusion dishes. In terms of green spaces, Valentines Park is a lovely community space, there are a couple of lakes, a tennis court, a kids play area and a cafe.
Gants Hill Underground station is on the Central Line, connecting the area to Liverpool Street Station in approximately 25 minutes. Ilford railway station is also nearby, which offers National Rail connections.
